Trans-System Chooses GeoLogic Solutions
Diversified carrier to update and expand its use of MobileMax systems

HERNDON, Va.- October 10, 2006 - GeoLogic Solutions, the transportation industry's leading provider of Multi-Mode communications and tracking systems, today announced that Spokane, Washington-based Trans-System, Inc. will outfit an additional 200 tractors with MobileMax TM mobile communications and fleet management systems. They will also update all 600 of the MobileMax systems currently in use in the fleet with GeoLogic's new Cingular Wireless GPRS data solution.

Trans-System is the parent company of three motor carrier operations that field over 900 power units and more than 1,200 trailers from eight terminals. Included are System Transport, Inc., a flatbed hauler; refrigerated carrier T.W. Transport; and James J. Williams Bulk Service Transport, its tanker and bulk commodity division. Each part of the operation serves customers along the West Coast, the Pacific Northwest and across the continental U.S. and Canada.

"By utilizing the latest technologies from GeoLogic we are able to better serve our customers and our drivers," said Dale Peterson, executive vice president. "Having access to accurate data faster with the Cingular data network that has been offered as a MobileMax option is important for customer service as well as our ability to improve utilization. In addition, the ability to download software upgrades over the air, via the Cingular network, will help us save additional time and money.

Also important to Trans-System is the productivity and efficiency gains it expects to realize by using the Proximity Alert TM geofencing option. For example, the carrier will be automatically notified when a truck enters or departs a defined geofenced area so operations and maintenance staffs are updated. With Proximity Alert, messages are sent when a truck enters or leaves a defined area, without requiring driver input. The message includes the GPS position, time and date.

"The MobileMax communications and tracking system is about improving accuracy and productivity," Peterson added. "After serving as a beta site for GeoLogic and using the company's technologies for many years, plus the fact that we have two modes of communications on board our trucks with MobileMax, we know we have the right solution."

"The capabilities provided by MobileMax and the enhanced performance of our new GPRS service will provide significant benefits for Trans-System and its customers," stated John Lewis, CEO for GeoLogic Solutions. "We are very pleased that Trans-System has chosen these technologies to meet its communications and tracking needs."
