The full-featured and easy-to-use electronic driver log application from GeoLogic Solutions enables your company to comply with Department of Transportation Hours-of-Service requirements for electronic driver log records.

This application is available in conjunction with GeoLogic's new Windows® CE-based Color Display Unit. The Color Display Unit operates as a component of the MobileMax™ fleet management system, which provides data messaging, GPS tracking, driver and vehicle performance data, vehicle fault codes, state-line crossing data, geofence alerts, and more. It operates on a multi-mode, least-cost routing system which transmits information over both cellular and satellite networks. The Color Display Unit expands the functionality of the MobileMax system, offering an intuitive graphical interface that increases ease of use for drivers, with a powerful open architecture that allows the addition of new applications such as electronic driver logs, mapping and navigation programs, and other programs.

GeoLogic's electronic driver log application conforms to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines for Electronic Onboard Records (EOBRs).

Electronic Automation and Accuracy – Using a simple touch-screen graphical user interface, drivers log on to the system to record changes in duty status for On Duty, Off Duty and Sleeper Berth.
The system then does the rest:

• Automatically records driving vs. non-driving
  durations based on vehicle motion
• Reports status to dispatch personnel at configured
  intervals
• Prepares on-demand graphical log display and
  availability reports in cab for inspection
• Issues warnings and alerts when violation
  thresholds are approached or exceeded
• Translates GPS position to direction/distance

Simple Driver Interface – Drivers use a simple touch-screen GUI to log on and off, insert comments into their log, indicate exemptions taken for weather or emergencies, and to indicate loads and trailers.
Multiple drivers are supported within one vehicle.

Management Control — Back-end applications provide the management tools necessary for compliance. Reassign drivers and tractors to increase productivity.

Integration — APIs support integration to your company's current fleet management/dispatch software products.

Portability — In slip-seat operations, drivers can carry their logs from one truck to another by simply transferring the information using the USB port and a memory stick.

Flexibility — Designated back-office users have ability to control and edit (as allowed) information when necessary. For example, if the driver forgets to log off a vehicle, the situation can be corrected in the office by sending a request to a vehicle to force the logoff of that driver; a confirmation of logoff is then sent to the requestor. Office personnel may add or edit remarks and edit trailers, shipments, and co-drivers.

Configurability — Sixty U.S. and Canadian driver types and their availability rules are supported. Preference configuration allows you to tune system parameters to match your driving profile. Determine the frequency and mode of status reporting per vehicle that will best fit your information needs.

REPORTS

Availability
Displays current availability and eligibility for a driver or drivers based upon driver type and current logs. Shows the amount of eligibility the driver will have the next day, based upon a specified off-duty time for the end of the current day.

Daily Log
Displays daily driver logs for each driver, in a familiar log-book layout. Convenient editing tools facilitate necessary corrections and give detailed information for each status change including exact time, location and odometer readings.

Driver Activity Summary
Displays information relating to a driver's activity during a specified date range, including driver's hours worked as well as miles driven. Presented with each date the driver had hours worked and/or miles driven. It shows a subtotal for each driver displaying the total hours worked/miles driven during the date range.

Violations
Displays violations for a driver or all drivers within a date range showing date and time and rule violated.

Conflicts
Shows where gaps or conflicting log data are present, so they may be corrected using the Daily Log editing tools.

Data Security: Backups and Archiving
Automatic data archiving schedule can be configured to preserve data for the compliance period. Archived data sets can be saved to removable media for off-site storage.
